Week of 12/27 to 01/03/10: HOLIDAY

As you can see the hustle and bustle of the holiday season got in the way of us posting a new theme last week. However we are back now and ready to get started with the new year.

Since we are still in the "holiday" season, we decided to make that our theme for this week. All you have to do is post a picture of something that represents the "holiday" season or reminds you of the "holidays". There are SOOO many possibilities with this one.

Week of 12/14 to 12/21 Theme is GLOW

Days may be getting shorter, and the weather may be getting colder, but December is all aglow in holiday lights and decorations.   Show us "glow" in your space today.

Week of 12/7 to 12/13 -- HEART

HEART is defined by Websters dictionary as:
1) a hollow muscular organ that pumps the blood through thecirculatory system by rhythmic contraction and dilation. 2) the central or innermost part of something 3) a conventional representation of a heart with two equal curves meeting at a point at the bottom and a cusp at the top.

Week of 11/22 to 11/29 theme: ORANGE

Week of 11/8 - 11/15: FLAG

What comes to mind when you think of flag?? Is it your country's flag? Is it the grand old flag? Is it a mailbox flag? Is it a sports flag? Is it someone flagging down a taxi cab? Take a look around this week and see if you can spot a "flag" in your area.

Week of 11/1 to 11/8 theme of FALL

Well Halloween is over, and it is safe to say that the "fall" season is upon us. Unfortunately although the season is here, not everyone is experiencing true "fall" weather. Some of us unlucky people are experiencing "fall" in 80 degree heat while others are experiencing "fall" with a couple inches of snow. Either way "fall" is all around us, if not in nature then in a "fall" treat, a "fall" decoration, or a "fall" tradition.

Now Corinna and I both took "fall" from the season standpoint, but "fall" can stand for more than just a season. "Fall" can also be an action or verb, or even part of a phrase. The interpretation is entirely up to you.

Week 10/26 - 11/1 Time to see RED

Ok we are continuing the idea of a "theme" week this week. This time we are going with the color... RED. Now this is a fairly WIDE open theme.. it could be anything really, just as long as it's red. So put your creative juices on and see what you come up with.

Week of 10/18 to 10/25 Theme : SQUARES

Well it looks like this little blog has had some traffic in the last week or so. I'm happy to see some of you are playing along with us, and can't wait to see everyone's photos in the upcoming weeks.

There was a bit of confusion last week, I think, and I want to just clarify what we're doing. Edie and Corinna will post their photo on Sunday that they took from the previous week. Then we want you to take a photo during that following week (Monday to Sunday) and post your link so we can all go look at your photos. Did I explain that well enough?

This week we decided to go with a theme, and that was "square." There can be lots of takes on the word "square". However you interpret that, show us your photos.

Cant wait to see what square themes we get.. :)

Week of 10/04 to 10/11

Get ready.. Get Set.. Go! (almost)

Forty eight hours ago if you told me I would be making a new blog, I would have said you are nuts. Heck I have a hard enough time keeping my first blog current. (see link in sidebar)



However, my friend Corinna (who loves photography just as much as I do) came across this website and asked me if I would be interesting in doing something similar with her. Little did she know that I was a fan of similar sites, like this one, so when she asked me to be her partner in this of course I said YES YES YES!



Corinna and I are both full time mothers, full times wives, and have full time jobs outside our homes and neither of us have the time to do something like this everyday. (although both of us dream of having full time jobs as photographers someday). So to make it easier on ourselves and our families, we decided to make this photo project a once a week thing.



Every Sunday we will be posting our photos to this blog with no idea of what the other one is posting. It can be a photo of anything or anyone. The only rule that we set for ourselves is that it has to be a new photo that was taken the week prior.



Now, we dont want to be the only ones participating in this. We hope all you bloggers out there that come across our site join in the fun too; either by becoming a follower, or posting a comment below OR even better participating!



After we post our photos on Sunday, we will add another post where anyone who wants can post a comment with a link to their own shutterbug shot. The link can be a blog, can be a flickr account, whatever works for you. You have a full week to do it too. Remember its just ONE photo. We would love to see what you come up with!
