Week of 1/25 to 1/31- B is for BIRD

Shutterbugs is continuing its celebration of the letter B this week and just like the lyrics from the song Surfin' bird by the Trashman,  "BIRD" is the word.

Since all the birds where I live have gone south for the winter, I took a photo of a very rare bird that you can only find hanging up in my kitchen! :)

I lucked out a bit better then Corinna did weather wise.  The sun FINALLY came out over the weekend so I paid a visit to a local park and bird habitat.  (Click on the photo to see the bigger image of the bird)

Week of 1/18 to 1/24 - B is for BLUE

Ok the A's are done, and now its time to move on to the wonderful letter B and the color.... BLUE. Do you have some BLUE near you?

Week of 1/10 to 1/17/2010 -- ANIMAL

We have noticed that we have had a few more followers join us... WELCOME!!! If you are not sure what this site is about, please check this post here where it explains it a bit. The only thing different is Corinna and I are now doing a "theme" each week and we are doing the themes alphabetically. We go into more detail into the alphabet theme here. Anyone can play along, just as long as you have a site to post your photos to like a blog or flicker account. The more the merrier, so please feel free to join in.

This week we are celebrating the letter A for one more week and the theme is changing from "art" to "ANIMAL". Again...the ideas with this can be endless; it's all how you want to interpret the word. Show us your version of "ANIMAL".

Week of 1/03 to 1/10: ART

Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!

Sunday Shutterbugs is changing things up JUST a bit to start off the New Year. Rather than have a totally random theme, Sunday Shutterbugs is going to be picking a theme alphabetically. For this week and next week the theme we pick will start with letter "A". The following two weeks after that our theme will be based on the letter "B". This way by the end of the year, we will have gone thru the entire alphabet A-Z.

The idea behind our new "alphabet" theme was inspired by another blogger, Nicole Maki, who just started a new website AtoZ Year. Nicole and her family like celebrating each letter of the alphabet for two weeks at a time by doing various things that start with each letter. For instance, this week since the letter is A they made Apple Crisp and have plans to watch Aladdin. Nicole started the AtoZ YEAR site so others can join in and participate. There are lots of different groups over there. (including a photography group of course) I highly suggest stopping by, taking a look and joining in on the fun!

So to start off our year, here is our first "A" theme of.... ART. Show us something that defines "ART" for you.

Week of 12/27 to 01/03/10: HOLIDAY

As you can see the hustle and bustle of the holiday season got in the way of us posting a new theme last week. However we are back now and ready to get started with the new year.

Since we are still in the "holiday" season, we decided to make that our theme for this week. All you have to do is post a picture of something that represents the "holiday" season or reminds you of the "holidays". There are SOOO many possibilities with this one.

Week of 12/14 to 12/21 Theme is GLOW

Days may be getting shorter, and the weather may be getting colder, but December is all aglow in holiday lights and decorations.   Show us "glow" in your space today.

Week of 12/7 to 12/13 -- HEART

HEART is defined by Websters dictionary as:
1) a hollow muscular organ that pumps the blood through thecirculatory system by rhythmic contraction and dilation. 2) the central or innermost part of something 3) a conventional representation of a heart with two equal curves meeting at a point at the bottom and a cusp at the top.
