week of 6/27 to 7/4 - M is for MACRO

Ok sorry for missing the post last week everyone.  I (Edie) had a couple of personal matters that came up that took priority.  We are going to finish off the "M" this week, and then next week pull a double duty and have 2 topics for "N".

This week we choose MACRO as the theme.   For Corinna and I, macro images are one of our favorite photo techniques.   Its a great way of seeing the details in something that you might not have noticed before, and it gives you a new perspective on your subject as well.     Some people use a macro lens when shooting their images. (as Corinna and I did).  Macro lens are great because they really let you get close to the subject.   However if you do not have a macro lens, no worries.  Most cameras have a "macro" setting on the camera.  Usually is on a button or dial, and it is represented by the image of a flower.   If you haven't used that setting before, I highly recommend you give it a try and practice on all sorts of things.

Week of 6/20 to 6/27 - M is for MOVE/MOVING

The last two weeks allowed us to take a LONG look at the LIGHT around us and although L was a fun letter, it is time for us to MOVE on to the letter M for the next 2 weeks. So that's what we are doing... MOVING. What do you think of when the word "MOVE" comes to mind? Is there something in your life that symbolizes MOVE right now? Do you have something near you that MOVES?

Week of 6/13 to 6/20 - L is for LONG

We are finishing up the letter L by moving away from the LIGHT and moving towards something LONG.    Do you have anything near you that can represent LONG?  If so take a photo and post it below.  We would love to see it.

week of 6/6 to 6/13 L is for LIGHT

Well it looks like kitty might have been a bit more challenging than anticipated for everyone.  Hopefully this next theme might be a little easy for everyone to do, since this week the theme : LIGHT.  I'm sure that no matter where you are, there is bound to be something near you that can be used for LIGHT.  Here is what Corinna and I manage to come up with:

Week of 5/30 to 6/6 -- K is for KITTY

Sorry everyone... Edie got wrapped up in the weekend festivities and forgot that yesterday was Sunday not Saturday.

The topic for this week is KITTY... Now Corinna and I went with the real life version of kitty, however you dont have to go that route. I bet if you look around you, you might find a different take on the word "kitty".

Week of 5/23 to 5/29: K is for KISS

Cranberries - Kiss Me

Kiss me out by the bearded barley

Nightly, besides the green green grass

Swing, Swing, swing the spinning step

Anyone want to take a stab at what the theme for this week is?? lol Yes, it's Kiss. What comes to mind when you think of the word Kiss?? So many possibilities for such a small little word. We hope you have fun with it.

Week of 5/16 to 5/26: J is for JAGGED

I have to admit the first thing I thought of when Corinna and I decided on "jagged" this week was Alanis Morrisette's "Jagged Little Pill" album. It had to be one of my favorite albums while I was in college. Unfortunately I dont think a CD counts as "jagged" so I had to go hunting around town for something that is jagged.

Edited to add: Okay, after 3 days of terrible weather I finally just said "forget it!" and went out into the rain today looking like an idiot trying to hold my camera in one hand and my coat over my head and camera in the other hand!
